Ports-Rail-Logistics – Michael has worked at the Port of Melbourne leading logistics supply chain efficiency and cost optimisation approaches through the development of the Port’s Rail Access Strategy
Roads – Michael has worked as a leader in road asset management, operations and in mergers/acquisitions (M&A):
Queensland Motorways (now Transurban Queensland) – Executive
responsible for asset management, operations, and project delivery
$7Bn toll road business. Undertook M&A technical due diligence acquiring two tunnel/bridge assets
CIMIC Group – Pacific Partnerships: M&A lead (COO elect) to acquire a share in a large road/tunnel/bridges (deal size approx $8Bn)
CIMIC Group – Ventia – Executive responsible for merging two business units to form an infrastructure maintenance division comprising, Transport,
Energy and Water (turnover approx $550m)
